Whether the students can really participate in class teaching has the most direct influence on teaching activities.Therefore,it is of great significance to improve the teaching effect by enhancing students' participation in learning Chemistry.The results of research on students' participation in class at home and abroad show that enhancing students' self-efficacy can greatly affect students' participation in class.Therefore,the thought is feasible by studying the effect of self-efficacy on students' participation in class and improving students' academic performance.At home and abroad,most of the studies on learning self-efficacy or participation in class are separate of the two.There are few studies on the correlation between the self-efficacy and participation in class.For Chemistry,it is even less.The questionnaire of the first grade students was carried out in the school where the education practice is conducted.According to the results of data analysis,the characteristics of the self-efficacy and the participation in class and the correlation between them of senior high school students from different grades and different achievement in learning Chemistry are tried to find out in this paper.Thus,the strategies to enhance students' participation in Chemistry class are found,and based on these strategies,students' level in Chemistry learning can be improved.(1)The self-efficacy of high school students in learning Chemistry is weak in general.The self-efficacy in learning Chemistry has significant differences in the sense of basic competence,effort and self belief between male and female students.These three dimensions of male students are significantly higher than female students'.There is a significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and achievement of senior high school students in learning Chemistry.The three factors that affect Chemistry achievement are basic ability sense,sense of environment and sense of effort.(2)The participation of senior high school students in Chemistry class is just so so.The participation of senior high school students from different gradss in Chemistry class are significant differences in behavior participation and emotional participation.These two dimensions of male students are obviously higher than female students'.There is also a significant positive correlation between the participation of high school studentsin Chemistry class and their scores.The behavior participation and emotional participation has a greater impact on Chemistry test scores.(3)The participation of senior high school students in Chemistry class is greatly influenced by the self-efficacy in learning Chemistry.In the process of class teaching,from the perspective of enhancing the self-efficacy of high school students in learning Chemistry,students' behavior participation,emotional participation and cognitive participation in Chemistry class are promoted.Students' performances in Chemistry will also be improved by the more self-efficacy in learing Chemistry and the higher participation in class.
