The Academies Of General Equipment Department Basketball Status Quo And Policv For Development

A deep and thorough study regarding to the objective conditions and status quo of promoting the basketball in the five military academies directly affiliated to the General Equipment Department has been conducted by this dissertation via literature reference,questionnaire,call survey, statistical method.In addition,the reasons for the current development have been analyzed and the policy as well as the suggestions for the further development of basketball in the Department in the new era have been presented with reference to the related theories regarding the physical education programs in school and management of physical education.This article is aimed to promote the healthy development of basketball in the Department and the PLA and provide certain theories and suggestions for reference.The conclusions from the surveys are as follows:(1)Basically,the facilities in the five military academies directly affiliated to the General Equipment Department can meet the needs of physical education and drilling.Yet,the inadequate ground and instruments and the poor maintenance hinder the development of basketball education.The internal basketball leagues play an important role in the cultural and PE curriculum and are popular in those academies.However, the basket teams have yet to be further developed due to the current lack of policy.In addition,the single activities in the basketball education cannot meet the demands of various students.(2) Basketball game is very popular among those academies.Yet,the level has yet to be enhanced despite the strong the enthusiasm among the officers,soldiers,and students.(3) The inadequate supply of funds,drainage of talented coaches, limitations from policies,the unreasonable arrangements of curriculum, lagging teaching conception work together to constrain the development of basketball.(4)Attempts should be made to establish basketball clubs,which may attract the attention of leaders and address the shortage of funds as well.In one word,the club system is the best approach to the development of basketball education among those academies.
