Industrial ethernet switch is important device in industrial ethernet, and with the development of industrial control technology, the performance requirements for switch are also getting higher and higher. And real-time synchronization is one of the aspects. The main content of this paper is based on the actual needs of the project, the design of a new type of management layer2 industrial ethernet switch, with accurate network clock synchronization performance.The specific content of this paper include the following aspects.1. The hardware design of layer 2 industrial ethernet switch as well as the IEEE1588 protocol implementation scheme in switch platform.2. Give analysis of the IEEE1588 protocol include the principle, state machine, events related to the protocol, message and packet transceiver logic, network topology, process of best master clock algorithm, and phase synchronization and frequency synchronization process.3. Give the analysis of main factors related to PTP time synchronization performance, and puts forward the solution or compensation measures. Construct a PTP clock servo system based on single neuron PID control algorithm. Research of network delay and jitter processing method, and verify the effectiveness of the clock servo system based on the simulation model.
