The Research On Developing Strategy Of Shanghai Technology Entrepreneurship Foundation For Graduates

Shanghai Technology Entrepreneurship Foundation for Graduates(EFG) is first not-for-profit public foundation that supports early-stage start-ups of China. EFG has established a creative mechanism and an eco-system in China for startups, and has been dedicated to supporting the young people to start their business by entrepreneurial project funding, entrepreneurial culture dissemination, entrepreneurial education, and entrepreneurial research, etc.First of all, this paper gives a brief introduction of EFG. Second, through the PEST analysis and industry development analysis, we can learn that the entrepreneurship environment is much better which brings a good opportunity for EFG. After eight years of accumulation, EFG has build-up a variety of channels and resources. Meanwhile, due to the limit from government policy and the mechanism, EFG still need to improve the ability of integrating resources and professional skills. We can also learn from international examples, such like Kauffman foundation, Y Combinator from America and the Office of the Chief Scientist from Israel.The development strategy of EFG is to create a professional, marketoriented technology entrepreneurship foundation with national influence. According to this, EFG would choose target concentration strategy, and focuses on serving the young entrepreneurs and start-ups. In the specific implementation, low-cost and differentiation strategy can be combined. EFG can provide resources for most start-ups in low price but personalized service for fast – growing enterprises. At the same time, in order to make sure the strategy to be success, EFG shall take actions, such like designing innovative products, adjusting the organization structure, build up a talent team, improving the efficiency of resource using, etc…...
