Research On The Chinese Soybean Industry Security

With the gradually opening market of Chinese oil soybean imports increase year by year. The main reason why soybean imports surges is the imbalance between supply and demand. Since 1990's the domestic soybean production has increased slowly and the growth trend is undulate type. At the same time, owing to the improvement of people's living standard, the demand for soybean oil and soybean meal increases, which directly led to the rapid growth of domestic demand for soybean. In the situation of a large number of imports of soybean, it is important to analysis the security of Chinese soybean industry, make a summing up of the problems in the development of soybean industry and give advice to the future development of domestic soybean industry.In the thesis, on the basis of the current research on the security of soybean industry,17 indicators were selected to measure the security of soybean industry in our country through the establishment of the Chinese soybean industry security evaluation index system. The indicators are about three aspects of the domestic industrial environment, industry competitiveness, industry external dependence. The result shows that China's soybean industry is unsafe, and the state of insecurity continues to worsen.The paper is comprised of three parts. The first part is the research background and the theoretical basis, including the first chapter and the second chapter. The first chapter mainly covers the research background, summarizes predecessor's research, and declares the paper's tracks and frame. The second chapter is the theoretical foundation of the article, with focusing on the definition of the industry security and the influence factors of industry security.The second part includes three aspects:the soybean industry current situation, domestic soybean industry security degree calculation, and the analysis of the factors affecting China soybean industry safety, respectively the third, fourth and fifth chapter. The third chapter states soybean industry present situation mainly from the two aspects of international and domesticIt analyzes emphatically the production of soybean supply, circulation and processing, consumption and trade of domestic soybean industry by a large amount of the elaboration, charts and data. The fourth chapter constructs the soybean industry safety evaluation index system of Chinese soybean industry, which uses principal component analysis method and selects the 20 years of data from 1992 to 2011 to calculate on the safety of domestic soybean industry. In the fifth chapter it analyzes the influence factors of domestic soybean industry security, from three aspects of the soybean farming, soybean processing industry and foreign government subsidies policy.The sixth chapter is the third part. The main conclusions of this article are summarized, and it throws out suggestions for the development of soybean industry in china. In order to change domestic soybean industry's state of unsafe, the reseach puts forward the following suggestions for the development of soybean industry: increasing investment of soybean breeding research, improving the level of benefits of soybean planting; the implementation of minimum protective price policies, encouraging the farmers to plant more soybean; taking advantage of domestic soybean competitiveness, improving the competitiveness of domestic soybean industry in the international market; adjusting structure of soybean processing industry, improving the industrial chain; learning from foreign experience in the development of soybean industry, constructing a stable environment for the domestic soybean market.
