NP is a paint company, with the feature of multi-species and small quantities on order production mode. To meet the requirement of short delivery period, competitive price with high quality from the fierce market competition, it has to make some change on current mode and creative on management, so as to reach the best on cost control, stable production, shorter delivery period in the industry.Lean production comes from the lean management of Toyota Auto, with the target of maximize the elimination of waste. Six Sigma comes from the management of MOTORALA, improve the process and reduce variability with statistical methods. Both of these tools are considered to be very important in the management as the innovations in 20 th century, play a significant role on enhancing the competitiveness of company.At the first, this studied lean production and six sigma, compared their advantage and weakness, obtain the result of the necessity of integrate. And then,analysis the current situation of NP, especially the problems on cost, delivery and quality, get the feasibility of lean production and six sigma. With the lean-sigma thinking and by overall design and local implementation, get the improvement of the relevant points. By the way of DMAIC from six sigma, and combined with lean, the delivery period of Auto-finish shorted from 5 days per batch to 3 days per batch, at the mean time, customer satisfaction improved greatly. By the carrying out of 5s,visualizing, pull kanban, seven wastes, TPM and other lean tools, the total cost dropped 3.8%, inferior quality cost dropped 28%.Lean-sigma enhanced the core competitiveness of NP Company through the implementation of these projects, and provide a theoretical basis for related industries.
