Listed commercial banks, as the foundation of China's financial system, its core competitiveness directly affect China's comprehensive national strength in the international status. As China's listed commercial banks continue to participate in international competition, it will face more and more challenges and threats. On the one hand, there is still a big gap between China's listed commercial banks and the international advanced banks in corporate governance, risk management, internal control and other aspects. On the other hand, under the background of the reform of the domestic financial system, interest rates are liberalize, impacting on bank deposit business. Debt and equity trading market is gradually perfect, financial disintermediation and the emergence and development of Internet Financial divert traditional financial funds, making the operating environment of the listed commercial banks more complex. It becomes a priority to improve the listed commercial banks' core competitiveness.China has sixteen listed commercial banks, including five state-owned holding banks, three city commercial banks, eight joint stock commercial banks. On the basis of drawing lessons from domestic and foreign research results and practical experience, this paper analyzes the composition factors of the core competence of Chinese listed commercial banks from the point of view of value chain, and based on the principles of scientific, comprehensive, comparable and workable, constructs the evaluation index system of the core competitiveness of Listed Commercial Banks, has a comprehensive evaluation of the core competitiveness of China's sixteen listed commercial Banks, And then puts forward strategies to enhance the core competitiveness of listed commercial Banks in China from the development strategy, governance structure, human resource management, risk control, financial innovation and cultural construction.Research shows that: under the perspective of value chain, the core competitiveness of listed commercial Banks in China is formed in the basic value activity such as the internal process action, product processing, the external support, marketing, financial services, and the auxiliary value activities such as infrastructure, human resource management, R&D of financial products and services, logistics calculation and purchasing, which is a kind of resultant force better than the competition opponents under the integration of the existing elements by the listed commercial banks. At the same time, the activities of the value chain are closely related to the factors of resource, ability and environment, and the contribution of each factor to the promotion of the core competence of the listed commercial banks is different. The comprehensive evaluation results of the core competitiveness of China's listed commercial banks reveal the advantages and disadvantages of China's listed commercial banks. The gap of the core competitiveness between state-owned commercial banks is still obvious, but the overall level of the core competitiveness is higher than city commercial banks and national joint-stock banks. City commercial banks have developed rapidly, the strength has been strengthened, the potential is sufficient; the core competitiveness of the national joint-stock commercial banks is relatively weak, but the gap is not big between the similar banks, the ascension of space will be bigger in the future. Therefore, it should begin from the bank's development strategy, governance structure, human resource management, risk control, financial innovation and the cultural construction to enhance the core competitiveness of listed commercial Banks in China.
