With the vigorous development of the rapid growth of economy and construction industry,the growing pressure on the managers of construction industry, excessive work pressure has caused negative effects decline on their working performance, their quality of life and their psychology. Especially in the international construction industry, long with the competition of the oversea construction market is becoming increasingly fierce, the pressure on the expatriate managers of China international construction management is bigger and bigger, lead to the emergence of expatriate performance decline, poor physical and mental state. At the same time, expatriate managers of the international construction in the long-term overseas environment, the culture has large or small difference with Chinese culture, all will produce a certain influence on the expatriate performance. At present, there are many researches on the relationship between job stress and job performance, but has not yet researched the work pressure of international construction project assignment, its relationship between the expatriate performance, and the cultural distance factor. On this basis, proposes and examines the personnel pressure of international construction expatriate managers and expatriate performance is negatively correlated, cultural distance plays regulatory role in the influence relationship.This thesis collected data by way of questionnaire surveys, in which the respondents are expatriate managers of Chinese international construction project. This thesis firstly identified the independent variables, dependent variables and moderate variables through literature review, and further determined the dimensions and specified indicators of each variable and then made a measurement scale that suited for expatriate management staff of Chinese international construction project and recalled 171 effective samples at last. This thesis applied multivariate regression analysis and constructed regression equations which made target pressure, psychological pressure and physical pressure its independent variables and expatriate performance its dependent variable and analyzed the moderate effect on the relationship of culture distance and its effect.The recalled statistical analysis manifests that the working pressure on expatriate management staff of Chinese international construction project is negatively related to expatriate performance and target pressure, psychological pressure and physical pressure are all negatively related to expatriate performance, but the moderating effect on relationship of physical pressure and expatriate performance is not significant. Chinese international construction project corporation can make arrangement of working task and cultural adaption measures of expatriate staff and guide and manage effectively.
