With the continuous development of economic society and the continuous improvement of people's living standards, the requirements of the power grid is increasing, and the Baotou power grid gradually highlights its security, stability and transport capacity and other issues. How to adapt to the needs of national economic and social development, and to build a safe, reliable, economic and stable operation of power grid has become the central issue of the power grid.In this paper, on the basis of the West Inner Mongolia power grid frame " the 13 th Five-year " development planning study "study and prepare the Baotou area" the 13 th Five-year "power grid development plan. Mainly completed the following work:(1) the full collection of “the 13 th Five-year” demand planning data, including the "Eleventh Five Year", "Twelfth Five Year Plan" period needs all aspects of data and for2015 in Baotou area grid electrical calculation, found the problems existed in Baotou area.(2) according to the historical data of the "Eleventh Five Year Plan", "Twelfth Five Year Plan" period and future development goals, comprehensive elastic coefficient method was used, production, consumption method, regression analysis method, time series method respectively to Baotou city gross national product, the whole society with demand for electricity, the power supply to the load forecast.(3) a detailed analysis of new energy unit 100%, 70%, 50% of Baotou Power Grid overall power balance and 220 kV power balance and regional power balance proposed Baotou power grid power source construction and network construction scheme, and formulate detailed substation planning scheme, consisting of 500 kV, 220 kV, 110 kV main grid planning, grid structure to demonstrate, and to estimate the investment of the planning of the " the 13 th Five-year ".The development of scientific and advanced planning power grid has important guiding significance for the economic operation of power grid construction, the overall planning of power grid and power supply.
