Nowadays, the steady increasing resident income has been amplifying the requirements on individual tourism. The old-time concept where travelling was considered to be an luxurious experience has faded away. Instead, taking a trip becomes a popular choice among current people. Until the year of 2014, the amount of people’s forest travelling has covered over a quarter of the total domestic tourists number, generating over 20% production value for the total domestic travelling income. Base on such circumstance, this thesis is going to conduct a study on the tourism development of LFJ Forest Park during the’13th five-year planning’period.Firstly, this study, reviewing both the previous and present development of the LFJ Forest Park, has found several problems in the development of this park, such as insufficient fund, improvident projects, weak professional teams,and laggard marketing strategies,etc.All of these protrude a tough development situation of LFJ, especially comparing with the surrounding tourist spots and holiday resorts.Secondly, this study will analyze both the external environment and the tourist resources for forest park development, concluding that LFJ, during the 13th five-year planning period, bears a favourable micro investment environment, and possesses advantaged travelling resources which can be turned into huge consumer potential. Therefore, it is necessary for LFJ Park to conduct forest tourism development by taking Guangxi tourists as the main target market, and those visitors from other provinces or countries as the supplement market. Besides, this study also sets a goal for LFJ tourism development during the period from 2016 to 2020, which names to let the forest tourism industry become the second main economic pillar for LFJ’s development, and to make the income of forest tourism business break through one hundred million. To achieve this goal, two steps are made by LFJ Park with the first to lay the foundations for development, and the second to conduct marketing strategies for income increasing.Based on the goal put forward above, LFJ plans to divide the park into two scenic regions (A and B), establishing 9 topic areas in the two regions, including Bodhi Cultural Health Area, Forest Ecology Experience Area, Furious Ecology Entertainment Area, Forest Oxygen Bar, Forest Science Education Area, Southern Precious Trees Area, Field Operations Area, Forest Health Area, and Forestry Science Relex Area. Besides, LFJ is planning to launch other 9 distinctive forest tourism products and 27 major projects, based on its 5 travelling projects including Shopping in Forest Waiting Room, Forest Sightseeing, Forest Culture Experience, Forest Science Education, and Forest Relax Entertainment.A bound of marketing strategies should be utilized by LFJ Park, in the purpose of building up a comprehensive marketing system for a professional forest tourism. Furthermore, both external and internal coorperations should be strengthened, in order to provide information security for the future management.
