Analysis Of The Operating Efficiency Of Tea Enterprises Based On The DEA

As an important part in the agricultural industry chain,tea enterprises not only make the local farmers out of poverty and improve the efficiency of agricultural production, but also promote the development of agricultural industrialization. In recent years, tea enterprises developing rapidly in Jiangxi Province, the impact on the local economy is becoming more and more significant. Along with the development of agricultural industrialization at the same time, however, the factors restricting the development of tea enterprises are increasingly. Therefore, research of tea enterprises operating efficiency is particularly important. In this paper, based on the panel data in Jiangxi Province tea enterprises. Using DEA-Tobit model estimates the operational efficiency of tea enterprises and findsout the influence factors of enterprise operating efficiency. Studies have shown as following:First,the main reasons why the level of overall operational efficiency of the tea enterprises in Jiangxi province is low is that the low level of pure technical efficiency.Second,A large of tea enterprises are in a stage of increasing return to scale, which shows that overall scale of tea enterprises tend to small, accompanied by inadequate investment and affects the operating performance of promotion.Third, Comparing different parts of the tea enterprises to the operating efficiency,two regions, in Ganzhou and Jian,technical efficiency is highest, basically achieves the optimal level, Secondly, Jingdezhen, next to Shangrao and tea enterprise technical efficiency in Jiujiang is the worst.Fourth, Different sizes of the tea business efficiency present a bigger difference. Large tea enterprises technical efficiency are the lowest,Followed by small tea enterprises, with that medium tea enterprise, and the micro tea enterprise technical efficiency achieve the highest level.Based on the Tobit model’s regression results show that :1,Technicians,cultural level of managers as well as the number of training have significant positive influence on the technical efficiency and pure technical efficiency.2,R&d have less significant but positive influence on the technical efficiency and scale efficiency,but bring about significant positive influence on the pure technical efficiency.3,Enterprise of largest shareholders equity ratio have not significantly negative effect the on technical efficiency, but not significantly positive influence on the pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency.4,The government’s policy support, and tea brand present significantly positive on the technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency.5,The amount of project support have significantly negative influence on the pure technical efficiency, not significantly positive influence on scale efficiency.6,The credit financing have significantly positive influence on the technical efficiency and scale efficiency,but not significantly positive effect on the pure technical efficiency.Finally, in this study, putting forward the pertinent countermeasures and suggestions is how to promote the tea enterprises operating efficiency.
