Study On Purchase Management Information System Plan Of YJ Pulp & Paper Company

With the wave of information rapidly sweeping across the world, information technology is gradually penetrating and impacting of the various fields of social economy. At present, it is important for traditional manufacturing enterprises in transition to strengthen information construction, in order to increase the quality of services, promote the benefit and enhance efficiency. High-quality products and personalized services must be provided, if the enterprise wants to be in an invincible position. The quality of products is directly determined by quality of raw materials, which is procured by the purchase department. Therefore, it can be of strategic significance to the development of the enterprise to strengthen the functions of procurement management and enhance the building of electrical procurement information system.Firstly, this thesis reviews and summarizes the literature of the procurement management theory and management information systems theory. Secondly, it describes the organization structure and job duties of the YJ company purchasing department gained from practical investigation. The business process involves seven parts:fibrous material procurement, row wood procurement, spare parts and industrial chemicals procurement, raw coal procurement, supplier management, substandard product disposition and formulating the contract. It also draws cross-functional flowchart of every part. Thirdly, this thesis analyzes requirements and designs functions of the procurement management system according to the business process and the purchasing problems. Thirteen major functional modules are identified, including fundamental information management, purchase requisition management, procurement plan management, supplier management, quality and price management, procurement contract management, purchase order management, inventory management, purchasing document approval, procurement monitor, financial management, reports and analyses management and purchasing system maintenance and management. Finally, the thesis designs architecture of the system framework based on distributed multi-tier system. The system uses the Microsoft.Net as development platform and adopts the wired LAN, wireless AP and special line in the network environment to realize information interaction, which achieves system function modules of specific business. And then, the thesis from the perspective of project management proposes the tactics of system implementation. Implementation of procurement management information system helps enterprise to achieve a comprehend sive digital management of procurement information, which can control the procurement process more effectively, and greatly improve the corporate procurement management level.The results of this thesis can be used as a proof for information construction and administration for other pulp & thesis company in both the theoretical and practical way.
