A Research Of Managers' Social Responsibility Cognition In Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region State-Owned Enterprises

As an important pillar of the national economy, state-owned enterprises (S OE) play dominant role in major industries and key areas closely related to the national security and lifelines of the national economy. SOE carrying out social responsibility actively is benefit for practicing "scientific development" and building the harmonious society. Carrying out social responsibility is a manifestation of SOE's own property, and also a powerful tool of establishing good corporate images and improving the enterprises'competitiveness. With the deepening SOE reform, the researchers pay much more attention on SOE's social responsibility.Corporate managers play a crucial role in fulfilling social responsibility. their' social responsibility cognition is a key determinant of corporate's behavior. Based on this reason, this paper focuses on managers 'social responsibility cognition, trying to diagnosis the current situation and problems about manager's social responsibility cognition in Guangxi SOE, and giving improvement suggestion for enterprises' sustainable development.Using literature and empirical research methods, this paper analyzes the managers' social responsibility cognition theoretically and empirically. From the empirical side, this paper focus the following two questions:(1) current situation and problems on managers'social responsibility cognition in Guangxi SOE; (2) whether managers'personal characteristics and enterprise features affect managers'social responsibility cognition. From the theatrical side, this article proposes five suggestions for improving social responsibility level, those suggestions refer to learning, practicing and updating. The findings enrich and deepen the theoretical study of the local SOE's social responsibility, to provide theoretical guidance for SOE how to social responsibility better and finally contribute to building a socialist harmonious society.
