The Study On Cotton Farmers' New Technology Adoption Willingness And Its Affecting Factors In Changji Prefecture

The level of agricultural development of modern agricultural depends on the level of agricultural science and technology progress.The key of agricultural technology conversion rate is that technology achievements can be transformed into practical productive forces.Cotton industry is an important part of Changji agricultural industry,and also competitive industries,which plays a significant role in increasing agricultural efficiency and farmers income, promoting economic development in the region, and stabilizing social environment. In this paper the new technology adopters, cotton farmers, willingness to adopt new technology is the key to agricultural science and technology into practical productive forces.Their adoption of new technologies determine the total cotton production, which is a direct power of the growth rate.Therefore, it is of great theoretical and practical significance for improving agricultural science and technology conversion rate and cotton cultivation level to study cotton farmers, willingness to adopt new technology from farmers, perspectives.On the basis of the field survey of 282 cotton farmers of Manasi county of Changji county, with descriptive statistical methods, this paper described farmers,andhouseholds, basis features, and conducted statistical analysis on to farmers, willingness to adopt new technology, about which there were 148 farmers with willingness to adopt new technology,accounting 52.4% of the respondents.Correlation analysis found that 22 factors including the main labor force gender, age, education level and so on,which related to cotton farmers adopting new technology adoption willingness. Using binary Logistic regression model to conduct Waldsbackward analysis on factors affecting cotton farmers,willingness to adopt new technology, after is iteration, we got the optimal regression model and found 14 affecting factors, including age, education level, cotton cultivation acreage, local cotton farmers, time to adopt new technology, and so on.In accordance with above research conclusions, we put forward the following suggestions:(1)Establish cotton new technology extension system in Changji Prefecture, which includes promoting the transformation of agricultural development mode, establishing a extension mechanisms of new technologies, doing well on the technical services of cotton new business entities; paying a high attention to building a team of agricultural science and technology marketing; promoting the reform and innovation of agricultural technology services; setting up a promote effective assessment system of new technology.(2)The application of cotton new technologyshould be suited Changji's conditions, contains that the development of agricultural new technology should be suited local conditions, promote a close match the technicians with the members of village committee,set a good example of cotton farmers,and guide cotton farmers to adoption the new technology. Full take advantage of the government,s role in new cotton technology adoption in Changji prefectures, which includes enlightening new technology advocating, establishing atmosphere to learn new technology; enhancing new agricultural technology supply; improving farmers, education level.
