Study On The Influencing Factors Of The Desire Of Farmers To Participate The Farmer Specialized Cooperatives In Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture

Farmer specialized cooperatives can unite farmers together and increase the farmer’s organization level.Cooperatives can also reduce the cost of production and transaction, promote the position of the farmers inthe negotiation. With the implement of “the Law of farmer specialized cooperatives in China” in Xinjiang,the external environment becomes better, and farmer specialized cooperatives develop rapidly in ChangjiHui Autonomous Prefecture. However, there still exist some problems that block the development, such asthe farmers’ low participation ratio, the weak comprehension to cooperatives. Therefore, it is of practicalsignificance to analyze the desire of farmers’ participation. It can help us to reveal the restraining factors ofthe development of farmer specialized cooperatives; meanwhile, it can provide suggestions for governmentto the further development.By using the methods of sociology and economics, this paper tries to find the factors that affect thedesire of participation to the farmers of cooperatives, and analyze the statistical and survey data of ChangjiHui Autonomous Prefecture. This paper pays more attention to the method of the single-factor analysismethod and bivariate logistic regression model to get the results. There are many factors which affect thedesire obviously, including sales channels, the level of understanding of the cooperatives, the level ofunderstanding of the policy that government support cooperatives and the extent of fluctuation of productprice.Based on the above empirical analysis, we can provide suggestions from farmers, agriculturalentrepreneurs and government-related recommendations.
