| Schedule management is an important part in project management field, it defines the project target scientifically, work out the plan schedule, monitor the actual schedule during project running, and compare with the plan schedule. Once there is gap, team need to analyze the root cause and adjust the schedule accordingly, to make sure the project can be finished on time.F company is an international EMS company, there is switch production line in its ZH industrial park. In order to reduce the cost, improve the efficiency and increase the profit, the management team decides to run the switch product test automation project. After this project is done, it would success to shorten the test lead time, reduce the operators demand, increase the test accuracy, then we can get better profit. And this project will also gather experience of automation production line for F company.We take F company switch product test automation project as example in this paper,mainly do the research the schedule management theory and its application in this project. We will firstly analyze the disadvantage in similar project before, then use the schedule management theory in the project to make the project successful. Finally we summarize the successful schedule management application in the project, to gather experience on schedule management of automation production line and expand to the whole company.We introduce the research background, research content and paper structure, describe the schedule management theory and tools first. Then we introduce the project background.After that we describe how to work out the plan schedule in this project(basically using WBS and CPM), and how to do the schedule control in this project. Later we review the achievement and improvement needed during the schedule management research in this project, and point out the enlightenment for the following project. Finally we summarize the schedule management research of this project and look forward in the future. |
