Research On The Influence Of Migrant Workers' Mobility To Their Social Capital's Accumulation

Since China step on the reform and opening-up road, the state ofour country'seconomy has been developing in high speed, with the accelerating process of industrialization and urbanization, the number of rural migrant workers also continue to increase, the group of rural migrant workers catch more and more attention by scholars. As an agricultural country, China has a large base of rural labor force, they come into the city under the influence of urban and rural "dual economy".Under this cicumistance, how to properly solve rural migrant workers' career development, help migrant workers turn to ordinary citizens, inevitably become a big issue.This study focus on social capital as the breakthrough point, and according to the on-the-spot investigation on social capital and occupational mobility of migrant workersin wuhan, combining with GMM estimation of measurement methods, study in-depth of migrant workers' occupational mobility, and its influence on social capital accumulation. This is not only beneficial to develop the department of economics and society in the interdisciplinary theory, but also help to solve the occupational mobility options issues, so that put forward a new solution about accumulate social capital and achieve career development.This paper is divided into four parts altogether, the first part is the introduction. The second part is the theoretical basis, mainly combed the sources, levels and the measure of social capital, sorting out other scholars' practical results about the relationship between occupational mobility and social capital.The third part is the survey of migrant workers in Wuhan occupation mobility of the accumulation of social capital and the empirical analysis. This chapter mainly from Wuhan area of migrant workers based sex, age, job satisfaction, training and occupation information channels to obtain five kinds of data description, and provide data support for the following analysis. First of all, to establish a empirical model. Secondly, the variable selection and measures. After establish social capital and the occupation mobility model, this paper constructs the evaluation system of two-dimensional social capital of migrant workers. Sorting out the social capital of migrant workers and sorting out the indexes of career mobility and other control variables. Then select the measurement tools. This study selects the GMM estimation method. The numerical estimation by the addition of age, gender, daily working time as instrumental variables. Finally, the measurement results of the influnce about migrant workers' occupational mobility and their social capital.Finally, the fourth part is the conclusion and enlightenment, through the above analysis can be concluded that the occupational mobility of migrant workers play an essential role on the accumulation of social capital. Mobilitycan help migrant workers find matching work, integrate into the city life, play a positive role to enhance their social capital, Meanwhile the accumulation of social capital also means obtain more information from social networks and resources, which in turn will be beneficial for migrant workers obtain better career opportunities, realize occupational mobility, seek career development. In today's information age, information represent the value and development opportunities, it helps migrant workers accelerate thespeed on social capital accumulation thus to balance the income distribution difference in China, in the end has important significance to the economy.
