The control of project cost is the hot topic in enterprise investment construction p roject management. It is a key factor to decide the success of the project. As a membe r of modern enterprise, each should have the management methods for cost analysis a nd control, which related to their own enterprise. Although methods vary, the purpose is the same, to reach target decomposition gradually, carry out the responsibility with corresponding person, in order to ensure everyone concerns the cost of business, parti cipation, monitoring and adjustment in time.This paper starts with the theory of project management, combined with the actu al situation of LNG tank production line expansion project, introduced the project ma nagement method——the Earned Value method. Using the characteristics of the opti mal method of earned value management is able to good implementation cost and sch edule control, improves project management level. But the Earned Value theory seldo m used in small and medium-sized enterprises in our country. Based on the Earned Va lue method in the use of the whole project process, realize the integrated management of project cost, schedule, the project of the problems found in time, timely rectificatio n, implements the process control of the project, to ensure the project completed finall y.The paper first from the theory of earned value method; The instance of LNG tan ker production line expansion projects in as the research object, the Earned Value met hod is applied to the project, set up the project management plan based on the Earned Value method, compiled the project WBS structure diagram, the project schedule and project cost budget plan, develop the project schedule, combined with the project plan period to determine the project's report point, established the basic parameters of earn ed value method, by calculating and analyzing indicators deviation, formulate correcti ve measures, finally solved the deviation in the process of project operation, ensure th e project completed on schedule.This paper use the Earned Value method, literature research method, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis method, empirical research methods and so on, us ing the predecessors' research results, the main line is the analysis of cost managemen t of enterprise production line expansion and schedule of LNG tanker of XZ Company,through the method of earned value project management gettingresult, come to the co nclusion, providing experience for later similar project.
