Study Of Regional Economic Effect Of Defense Industrial Cluster

Defense industrial cluster is the urgent need to upgrade the industrial structure for the defense and the major contributing factor; is the objective requirement and important content to promote the depth development of civil-military integration; is a powerful lever to advance regional economic development. To explore regional economic effects of defense industrial cluster, not only to expand the vision of civil-military integration research, to offer references for the relevant national departments to make policies, but also bring forth advice for regional governments to sketch local economic development plan.The paper started with the connotation and features of defense industrial cluster based on fundamental theories like industry economic and regional economic, analyzed the regional economic effects and impact elements of defense industrial cluster, compared and learned the defense industrial cluster's developing situation of Route 128 industrial district and Silicon Valley in US, furthermore, the paper also did the empirical research of defense industrial cluster of Hunan province, which is typically represented by Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration, finally proved that the development of defense industrial cluster has significant effects on regional economic development, and then summarized main reasons of insufficient regional economic effects of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan region. Last but not least, the paper put forward suggestions from five perspectives, only to improve our defense industrial cluster, and bring its regional economic effects into better play.The paper combined defense industrial cluster and regional economic effects, initially used coupled mechanism to analyze regional economic effects of defense industrial cluster, introduced the concept of location entropy to describe the agglomeration degree and region specialization degree of defense industry within Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan area. Through visiting research and data analysis, the paper proposed new strategy on improving China's defense industrial cluster itself development and active effects towards regional economics from the angle of regional economic effect.
