Study On Tourism Landscape Construction Of Urban Fringe Area In Guangzhou Under The Background Of New-type Urbanization

The new-type urbanization intends to create a suitable and pleasant home for residents. However, urban fringe often falls prey to urban sprawl in the process of urbanization. In fact, this area owns a lot of valuable natural scenery and characteristic culture. The tourism development based on integrating the landscape resource can not only provide relaxing place to citizens, but also bring certain earnings to local residents. This thesis considers urban fringe tourism as the research object. Combining the basic theory research and the empirical analysis of the situation in Guangzhou, this thesis summarized the landscape design methods for urban fringe tourism, and discussed the psychological needs of both suburban residents and urban tourists during the development of tourism.This thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part, based on the research of the related concepts and theories, four basic types of urban fringe tourism, including agritourism, historic towns, country park and theme park, and three development patterns which are dominated by different subjects are summarized. And three distinctive cases at home and abroad are introduced.In the second part, based on its geographical and cultural conditions, the tourism landscape resource in the urban fringe of Guangzhou is analyzed and the relationship between development and protection as well as the possibility of tourism developing is discussed.through researching on Shawan town which is the characteristic historic town and BOSUN garden which is the typical agritourism in Guangzhou, the building of tourism landscape such as landscape resources, landscape sequence and users' psychology is analyzed, and the effective landscape design methods for urban fringe tourism as well as the problems that should be noted in the process are discussed. Finally, the influence factors of urban fringe tourism in Guangzhou are discussed, and plans for the development of theGuangzhou suburb districts are proposed.The third part discusses the idea and method for constructing urban fringe tourism landscape in Guangzhou combining the above theories and cases. It is proposed that urban fringe tourism should adjust itself to local conditions, keep a moderate pace and set attractive subjects. Every landscape node should be connected by a reasonable route and diverse perceptions should be created. A complete industrial chain should be formed which can bring economic benefits to the suburban. As the participation and interaction of urban tourists and local residents in the tourism activities become more and more positive, the new type urbanization will bloom into the urban-rural integration.Urban fringe tourism is one of the ways to develop the new-type urbanization. In the present, there still exists many problems, such as the homogeneity of landscape expression,the simplicity of culture display and the confused role of local residents. But at the same time, a lot of innovation appear in the development process, such as the form of the exurban ecological town, the operation of the PPP mode in the tourism development projects and so on.Through analyzing the landscape design of the basic type of urban tourism, this thesis hopes to provide some valuable suggestions and certain useful references to the building of tourism landscape in the future. And it is also of important significance to the understanding of current development situation and the outlook for future development trends.
