Research On Rural Women's Multidimensional Poverty Problem In South-west China

As one of the special group of people in south-west areas of China, rural women play an important role in the process of regional economic and social development all the time. Not only in daily life, rural women play a leading role; but also they make the outstanding contribution of improvement of the family economic income and livestock. Although making a great condition to the family, rural women face a multi-dimensional poverty deprivation.The multi-dimensional poverty deprivation which includes economic income, skill, social condition, ideology and so on, deepens the multi-dimensional poverty in south-west China, and affects the process of the development of economy and society. It is useful and meaningful to find the reason of rural women's multidimensional poverty. And to solve the problems of rural women's multidimensional poverty, can promote the healthy development of regional economic and social stability.Therefore, this study selects Yun Nan, Gui Zhou, Si Chuan and Chong Qin province as the studying areas, and mainly studies the condition, the reason and the governance path of the rural women's multidimensional poverty in southwest China.In this paper, we expect to provide a reference for the management of multidimensional poverty in southwest China.On the basis of the analysis of survey data about the Sichuan,Yunnan,Guizhou and Chongqing province, this study uses the theory of the precision poverty alleviation, theory of multidimensional poverty and anti-poverty theory for poverty alleviation and social gender theory,and analyzes the rural women's poverty situation from the unidimensional poverty, multidimensional poverty and the decomposition of the region of women multidimensional poverty. At the same time, the research also analyzes the cause of the rural women's poverty in south-west China from the macroscopic and micro angle. Based on the analysis of the present situation and the reasons, this research analyzes the important and difficult management of the rural women's poverty, and also discusses the path of the management. Based on theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, this paper draws a conclusion from the rural women multidimensional poverty degree, influence factors and management,and also puts forward the future research fields and direction in this field.Through the research, this paper draws the following conclusions:(1)Rural women in south-west China exists serious multidimensional poverty deprivation. Although the overall rural women's multidimensional poverty in south-west China has been relieved, the women's multidimensional poverty deprivation also performs for the big amount and the poverty situation is also in high depth. Especially in social status, cultural degree and work situation, regional women faces the most serious poverty deprivation. Although there are differences between the poor deprived of women, the basic deprivations are mainly concentrated on the social status, cultural degree and so on.(2)Factors of institutional, cultural and staying in rural areas have an important influence on regional women's poverty. Traditional household registration mechanism, system of education and the family planning mechanism have an more significant influence on rural women in southwest China. Cultural factors, such as the Tibetan Buddhism, also have an important influence on rural women's poverty. Whereas left-behind in rural areas leads to a series of rights which is missing, and aggravates the regional rural women's multidimensional poverty.(3)Right deprived, lack of ability and the lag of ideas contributed to the women's poverty. Although Each dimension deprived has different causes, the author finds that right deprived, lack of ability and the lag of ideas contributed to the women's poverty, and we must deal with them with properly measures.(4)There exists difficulty to manage rural women's multidimensional poverty. In the current management system of rural women's multidimensional poverty,the government can not fully play its part, and the society and market forces also have its weakness. At the same time, the poverty people have weak awareness of automatically getting rid of poverty.In the face of the poor women's multidimensional demand, the traditional mainly income poverty support model cannot effectively solve the problem.At the same time, the research suggests that the future research should be scientific and systematic for the governance of rural women's multidimensional poverty in southwest China. The future research should include the theoretical study and the systematic research of each component of governance of rural women's multidimensional poverty. And Empirical studying and discussing the constituent,operation mode, implementation pattern practice, operating accuracy and validity of evaluation of the governance mechanism of rural women's Multidimensional poverty.And also paying attention to the roles and functions of government, society, market, community and farmers in the governance of rural women's multidimensional poverty.
