Survey On Science And Technology Information Needs Of Vegetable Farmers

Agricultural informatization is one of the important goals of the construction of new countryside in our country, and it is an important research direction of the "Issues of agriculture".The study of the problems in the process of agricultural informatization in China can provide important decision-making support for the rural informatization construction in China. The author's hometown of Lingbao City, Henan Province, located in Henan, Shaanxi, Shanxi provinces at the junction of the western Henan Province,847000 acres of arable land, 640000 of agricultural population, economic development is relatively backward, and there are many urgent problems to be solved in agricultural science and technology information construction process. Therefore, analysis on the current situation, problems and influencing factors of the information demand of Vegetable Farmers in Lingbao City of Henan Province, can offer the effective countermeasure suggestions for the improvement of Lingbao agricultural information level.This study is based on the perspective of vegetable fanners, taking the demand of science and technology information as the breakthrough point,320 vegetable growers in the author's hometown of Henan Lingbao were conducted a questionnaire survey and interviews.Based on the actual investigation data, analyzing the current situation of Lingbao City vegetable farmers information demands from two aspects of demographic characteristics, information needs, which mainly from the demographic characteristics of gender, age, educational level, income level, land scale, family population, whether or not to join the cooperative analysis in seven aspects, and the characteristics of information demands mainly from the science and technology information demand rate, access channels, access difficulty, farmers in technology information cognition and to the relevant government departments to analyze.Based on the analysis of the current situation of scientific and technological information demand of vegetable growers in Lingbao, the paper summarizes four main problems of Lingbao vegetable growers' scientific and technological information needs:(1) vegetable growers weak awareness of science and technology information needs;(2) lack of Agricultural Science and Technology Information Service personnel; (3) low agricultural cooperatives participation; (4) agricultural information infrastructure behind.And using the binary logistic model to analyze the factors influencing the information demand of vegetable growers to find out the main influencing factors of the information demand of vegetable farmers in Lingbao. The main factors influencing the demand of vegetable growers are education Degree, whether to join the cooperatives, the scale of land management and the annual net income of the family, respectively, the significance level of 5%,1%.10% and 5% of the test; Degree, whether the village cadres and family annual net income, respectively, by the significant level of 5%,10% and 1% of the test; the impact of vegetable farmers fertilization irrigation technology needs of the main factors of education and land management scale, And the level of significance was 5%. The factors influencing the new technology demand of vegetable growers were the education level, whether they joined the cooperative and the net income of the family, respectively, the significance level was 5%,1% and 5% of the test.In the end, the following four policy recommendations are put forward:(1)Increase agricultural technology training, improve awareness of farmers information demand;(2)Actively spread the pest control technology, improve the quality of information services;(3)To strengthen the propaganda of irrigation and fertilization technology, guide farmers to join the cooperative;(4)Actively introduce new agricultural technology, improve the agricultural information infrastructure.
