Vegetable industry develops rapidly in China, and now become the second largest industry only behind crop in planting. With the continuous development of science and technology, it brings more new correlation achievements, but these results are mostly published in professional journals and magazines, a large number of farmers did not know them. The circulation of the vegetable Journals in the country provides a good platform for the transformation of the theoretical results into actual production and plays a important role in the popularization of science and technology. The methods used in this paper are Document Retrieval, Statistical method, Typical survey and Questionnaire, we analyze the situation and the contribution of magazine to vegetable industry. Problems existed in magazine are analyzed, and finally the author puts forward some suggestions to solve these problems.According to the analysis of the categories and the distribution of vegetable journals, this paper found that there are twelve kinds of journals, and most of them are published every month or two month even a season in China. Every journal publics science and technology widely associated with the region characteristics, and the price of the journals are every low.Then this paper analyzed the readers of vegetable journals, the result is that the main reader of vegetable journals are the people who work for agriculture, but due to their limited knowledge, journals are not popular in country, the ratio of farmer readers is every low. What we need to do in future is to make our farmers subscribe journals.The Contributions of Scientific and technological to the development of vegetable industry are been analyzed, the application and popularization of new species breeding, new technologies of vegetable seedling, techniques for facilities cultivation, the insect-net and shading net for vegetable cultivation techniques, soilless cultivation, pest and disease controlling technology, and pollution-free vegetables production and so promote and enhance the scientific technology in vegetables industry.This paper takes the JOURNAL OF CHANGJIANG VEGETABLES for example to discuss in which way vegetable journals operate could promote the application and popularization of science and technologies. We came to the conclusion that: this journal can catch the step of the new tendency of science and technologies improvement in the field of vegetable. By scheming and selecting the topics in the column, selecting and editing high quality manuscript, advertising and distributing the journal with it's own characteristics, the circulation of the journal can increase steadily.This article analyzed the disadvantages and shortages existed in magazines. These problems in magazine are concluded as following : unreasonable species and structure, lacking of journals with it's own features and great popularization, moreover the quality problems such as that they are not accomplished in science, all of these make the circulation decreases directly.
