Research On Transformation And Upgrading Of Plywood Industry In Pizhou

China is the world's first wood panels production and consumption country.As the most important products of wood panels,the plywood has taken up the highest proportion in the product structure of wood panels,and has been developed rapidly with an average annual growth rate of more than 20%.Pizhou,where is a county-level city of XuZhou,has become one of the largest plywood production and export base in China.The plywood industry in Pizhou has been going gangbusters since the early 1990s,which made an important contribution to the local economic development.Under the background of global financial crisis,china's real estate control,and rising costs of production factors,such as lumber,land and labor,Pizhou's plywood industry had to accelerate the pace of transformation and upgrading,which is beneficial to strengthen the international competitiveness.Therefore,it has important practical significance to study the industrial transformation and upgrading of plywood in Pizhou,which will improve the sustainable development of China's wood panels industry.This paper analyses the transformation and upgrading of Pizhou's plywood industry mainly from four aspects.Firstly,the paper makes a theoretical discussion on the plywood characteristics and classification,system structure of plywood industrial chain,and connotation of transformation and upgrading.The motivation of transformation and upgrading for plywood industry is also discussed.Secondly,the paper analyses the spatial-temporal change of plywood industry growth in China,discusses the development situation and industrial characteristics of PiZhou's plywood.All these research will offer basic information for the industrial motivation of transformation.Thirdly,the pressures facing to PiZhou's plywood industry are explored.Furthermore,the restraining factors of the plywood industry are studied,such as excess manufacturing capacity,weak market,international trade barriers,shortage wood resource,unreasonable production structure,under-developed technology and equipment,backward self-owned brand,inefficient management,and so on.Finally,based on the above analysis and evaluation results,the paper puts forward the transformation and upgrading strategy and implementation measures for Pizhou's plywood industry from multiple angles.
