In recent years,more and more scholars begin to study the influence of the negative leadership on employees,abusive supervision has attracted more attention among these negative leadership.Abusive supervision is relatively more common in China,counterproductive behavior is also one of the common consequences of abusive supervision.In combination with Chinese situation,this study selected several characteristic variables based of Chinese cultural background,we explore the mechanism of abusive supervision from these cultural perspectives in this paper.Based on the theory of emotional events,this study discusses the relationship between abusive supervision and counterproductive behavior from these perspectives: employees' traditionalitiy,self-reinforcement motivation and the interaction effect of gender and traditionality.Specifically,this study discusses the moderating effect of traditionalitiy and self-reinforcement motivation.We also discuss the interaction moderating effect of gender and traditionality.Through questionnaire we receive 190 valid data from supervisor-subordinate dyads and use Mplus 7.0 to analyze the sample data.The results show that abusive supervision has a positive effect on CWB-I,traditionality and self-reinforcement motivation weaken this positive effect.The interaction moderating effect of gender and traditionality is also demonstrated: compared with male employees,the weakening effect of traditionality is more stronger for female employees.This research discusses the influence of situational factors on abusive supervision based on Chinese culture and enriches the situational factors' study of abusive supervision's mechanism.Self-reinforcement motivation reflects the face culture in Chinese.On one side,the interaction moderating effect of gender and traditionality reflects the characteristic of "male superiority" in Chinese traditional cultural,on the other side it also enriches the study of moderating factors about abusive supervision.
