The Interbank business is a business in which commercial banks set financing as the core and make transactions with financial institutions.The interbank business with the characteristics of low capital consumption,high leverage,and wide scopes of cooperation,have become the main force of promoting bank's transformation of the business and innovation,and a large number of commercial banks have decided to put the interbank business as their vital business.As early as 2000,China Minsheng Bank began planning the development strategy of financial interbank business.Of the past 10 years,Minsheng Bank kept adjusting its competitive strategy to its own situation and the external environment,and achieved remarkable results.At the end of 2015,Minsheng Bank cooperated with more than 2000 interbank customers,with the the scale of interbank liabilities 1.0399 trillion,and that of interbank assets of more than 901.3 billion,which made it ranking second in the joint-stock commercial banks.From the perspective of Minsheng Bank's interbank business,this paper firstly introduce Minsheng Bank's competition policies in recent years,including the current business situation,business development position,Interbank risk management systems and auxiliary systems construction,as well as the strategy of interbank assets and liabilities.Then through the SWOT Analysis,I analyse the macroeconomic environment,industry environment and industry competition where Minsheng Bank is,to identify its strengths and weaknesses,and external opportunities and challenges,on which these strategic choices are based.Finally,according to the above strategic choice,I use relevant functional theories to make optimization tips of how the Minsheng Bank maximize its advantages in resources,and of promoting business opportunities for the development of the industry.
