Located in the southeast edge of the Inner Mongolia Plateau, Guyuan County is a cool temperate semi-arid continental monsoon climate, cold and dry climate, less rainfall and evaporation, the natural ecological environment is extremely fragile. Due to cleared for farming for many years, overgrazing and deforestation, leading to desertification and soil erosion, serious ecological degradation, this area is the typical fragile ecological zone ecotone. Over the past two decades, ecological construction and climate change has a profound impact on land use pattern of the region, but also a profound impact on the fragile ecological environment of the region. In this paper, we choose to research the eco-environmental vulnerability, with the analysis of Guyuan County agricultural land use and its dynamic changes and the driving force of agricultural land use change, make the qualitative analysis of the drivers on the fragile ecological environment from natural and anthropogenic factors two aspects, Provide the basis for the choice of agricultural land use vulnerability assessment factor, to determine the eco-environmental vulnerability evaluation index system, with the use of GIS in data preprocessing, built an eco-environmental vulnerability evaluation model, using the analytic hierarchy process and expert scoring method to determine the weights of the various ecological factors, analysis and evaluate the impact of various of factors on the ecological environment systematically, data standardization, and make evaluation factors into a comprehensive evaluation indicators, overlay and output a fragile ecological environment index map. On the basis of the above work, we conduct a household questionnaire survey, through interviews and informal discussions with fanners in five villages, explore the ways and measures of agricultural land use ecological adaptability. Combined with the successful experience of the ecological construction in Guyuan County nearly20years, speculated that the trend of agricultural development, economic and social developments in the next10years. Give full consideration to the factors of scientific and technological progress, put forward to the Guyuan County future land use of ecological adaptation strategy. The paper is composed of six chapters. Chapter one is the perface, the main content are the research background, research ideas and related field of study progress, focus on the research on vulnerability. Chapter two summarized the general situation. Chapter three described the status and dynamics of agricultural land use analysis in the study area. Chapter four analyzes the ecological environment of agricultural land use Vulnerability Assessment. The fifth chapter to clarify the ecological adaptive strategy of the study area land use. Chapter six is the main conclusions and discussion, it also point out the main conclusions of this paper as well as shortcomings in the study.
