With the development of social economy and the progress of science and technology, belt conveyor has been widely applied in all walks of life, and has an irreplaceable role in these industries. Such as the belt conveyor can be seen everywhere in metallurgy, chemical industry, coal mine, port, food and other industries. It is used to support operations and production. However, belt conveyor brings us convenience, at the same time, it also cause various of safety accident and bring us a lot of trouble. Especially in coal mining industry, as the core in the production of transportation equipment, due to belt conveyor for themselves or other reasons, often cause some safety accidents, seriously affect the production of coal mine, reduce coal productivity, brings to the coal mining enterprises to serious economic loss. In order to realize the goal of high yield,high efficient and safe production of coal mine, we urgently need to change the present situation of the coal mine accidents. Then one of main changing means is that ensure Intrinsic Safe of production and transportation equipment.Therefore, this paper dedicated to the study Intrinsically safe design of coal mine belt conveyor, guarantee the safety performance of conveyor, improve work efficiency and reduce the probability of safety accidents fundamentally.Intrinsically safe design of coal mine belt conveyor is: firstly, realize possible safe accidents in the running process of belt convey, and find the reasons of the dangerous accident; secondly, find out some ways or measures to control or eliminate the danger, and reflect in the process of the design of belt conveyor. At the same time, we must consider special demands of work environment of coal mine belt conveyor, build a set of suitable Intrinsically safe design method t of coal mine t belt conveyor.In order to prove the intrinsically safe design can improve the safety of coal mine belt conveyor, we need to evaluate safety of coal mine belt conveyor. This paper target Intrinsic safety of coal mine belt conveyor as the regard, and evaluate Intrinsic Safety of conveyor belt, roller, driving device, tension device and electrical equipment with the way of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, thenevaluate Intrinsic Safety of whole equipment and achieve composite scores of intrinsically safe design. Then compared with the traditional design scheme,judge whether Intrinsically safe design of coal mine belt conveyor can improve the safety of the conveyor.At the end of this paper, we design an example with intrinsically safe method and analyze Intrinsic Safety of instance with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. Through comparing with the traditional design scheme, we can draw a conclusion: intrinsically safe design method of coal mine belt conveyor can reduce the probability of accidents, improve the safety of coal mine belt conveyor and play a positive role to achieve the goal of safety production of coal mine...
