Reading Chair Design

As a reflection of life and reading patterns, reading chair has a close conncetion with traditional culture and life. The design of reading chair is not only to meet the needs of sit, but also need to provide a more comfortable reading environment on the basis of sitting for reading.With regard to the design of reading chair, the studies of market Desks, design elements and development trends were applied. In addition, studies of living environment, consume attitudes and others were also performed. Based on this research, we can study the behabior of reading and do some improvements on existing products.. Combine the human factors with the design of reading chair, improve the shape, structure, materials and others to enrich the usability and aesthetics of reading chair. The purpose of this project is to enrich the need of use and selection of small stool furniture in our lives, and also inherit and develop the national cultural heritage.In this design process, we mainly focused on the improvement of four aspects, such as series design, interactive design, conception and design a variety of materials applications, and make the design has a hierarchical sense from decorative and narrative. The design contains four series:parenting, quiet space, geometry and others (folding, swing, cascading, plug-wing, flip), using wood, metal, glass, leather and other materials by sculpture, save bucket, mosaics and other decorative techniques, and finally form a variety of combinations through the design, modeling, structural decomposition, refining.
