To explore design chair furniture scientifically and discuss the mechanical characteristics of its structure,the structure of plastic chair and solid wood chair was analyzed and optimized based on the finite element method with polypropylene resin and elm as the base material.Through the establishment of two kinds of chair solid models,the stress analysis is carried out.According to the deformation,stress,safety factor,fatigue life and fatigue damage of the chair,the feasibility of the structural design of the chair is verified,and the position where the structural damage is most likely to occur when the two kinds of chairs are stressed is found.Finally,two kinds of physical chairs are made for mechanical strength experiment and fatigue characteristic experiment and verification analysis.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The mechanical strength analysis of the plastic chair shows that the maximum deformation of the chair is at the load loading position of the seat surface,which is 11.74 mm,and the maximum stress is mainly distributed in the middle of the connection between the back leg of the chair and the seat surface,which is 29 MPa.The chair in this state The safety factor,safety margin and safety ratio are 1.43,0.43 and 0.7 respectively.Through the physical verification of the plastic chair,when a load of 2000 N is applied to the plastic chair seat surface,the deformation value of the chair seat surface is 11.32 mm,which has an error of 3.7%from the finite element simulation analysis result.(2)The durability analysis of the plastic chair shows that the maximum deformation and stress of the chair are 8.31 mm and 18.66 MPa,respectively,and their distribution positions are consistent with the strength test of the plastic chair.The chair safety factor,safety margin,fatigue damage and fatigue life in this state are 2.22,1.22,0.6 and 3.3677×106 times,respectively.Through the physical durability experiment,the maximum deformation of the seat surface is 8.62 mm after the chair is stressed,which is 0.31 mm different from the simulation analysis.(3)The mechanical experiment analysis of the circular T-shaped member shows that with the increase of the diameter of the round bar tenon,the maximum load,maximum stress and maximum bending moment bearing capacity of the member when the member fails are increased by 24.3%,21.7%,and 28.6%,respectively.Using the finite element method to simulate and analyze the T-shaped member,it is found that the damage position of the round bar tenon of the T-shaped member is consistent with the failure mode at the end of the experimental loading process,and the relative error between the finite element simulation data and the experimental data is within 6%.(4)The strength analysis of the elm chair shows that the maximum stress of the chair is 10.09 MPa,which is mainly distributed at the lower end of the contact between the front leg tenon and the Luo Guozi,where the safety factor is 1.8.In addition,the maximum deformation of the chair under force is 6.63 mm,which is mainly distributed in the loading position of the seat surface.Through the strength test of the solid wood chair,the deformation value of the chair seat surface is 5.6 mm when loaded,which is 1.03 mm different from the finite element simulation analysis,and the chair can still be used without structural damage during the test.(5)The durability analysis of the elm chair can be obtained:during the loading process of the chair,the maximum deformation of the seat surface is 4.53 mm;the maximum stress of the member is 7.6 MPa.The safety factor,safety margin,fatigue damage and use of this position The times are 2.01,1.01,0.63 and 9.668×106 times respectively.Through the physical durability experiment,it is found that the deformation of the seat surface of the chair is 3.85 mm,which is 0.68 mm different from the simulation analysis,and the position where the chair is damaged during the loading process is the lower end of the front leg mortise contact with the Luo Guozi,which is consistent with the simulation analysis result..(6)Selecting a pair of solid wood chair legs to analyze the force:when the diameter of the legs remains the same and the force of the Luo Guoxi is the same,as the width of the horizontal brace increases,the position of the force is deformed and the legs of the chair are the same.The stress under force first gradually decreases and then increases.At the same time,with the increase in the diameter of the chair legs and the width of the horizontal brace,the deformation of the chair leg when the force is applied gradually decreases and then increases,and the deformation of the chair leg when the force is applied is mainly the same as that of the horizontal brace.The width is related to the maximum stress and the safety status is mainly related to the diameter of the chair leg.In conclusion,based on the finite element method,the structural design of the plastic chair and the solid wood chair is carried out.After the solid model is established,the mechanical characteristics are analyzed and studied.The feasibility of the structural design and the reliability of the mechanical analysis of the two chairs are verified by the real object.Finally,the structural optimization analysis is carried out according to the key parts of the two chairs.This study can provide strong support for the structural design and mechanical analysis of integrated plastic furniture and solid wood frame furniture.
