The mold is the key equipment in the basic industry manufacture, which is mainly used in the manufacture of machinery, electronics, transportation and metal products and so on. As a comprehensive discipline, mold processing involves the development and design of new materials, new technology and new products, it is a multidisciplinary system engineering. The using condition of the mold is very bad, which leads to mold failure because of plastic deformation, wear and fatigue fracture, the surface quality problems are the main factors leading to the failure of the mold.This design combines the surface strengthening treatment technology and the surface grinding processing technology,through the introduction of numerical control technology, to develop a set of hardware and software system for mold processing. This system can realize the precision grinding parameters and the precise control of the spray trajectory, and can improve the processing efficiency of the surface finishing processes of the mold, so as to improve the surface quality of the mold. The research contents of this paper are mainly carried out from the following three aspects:(1)Mechanical structure design of NC grinding machine. According to the working principle and working requirement of the NC grinding machine, the mechanism is mainly composed of four parts:Main frame of grinding machine, inverted work table, feed screw system and injection circulation system. Main frame of grinding machine is the supporting parts installation and positioning platform, inverted work table will be processing mold turning toward the lower clamping, feed screw system control the jet trajectory of the grinding fluid nozzle, the ejector cycle system is responsible for the stirring, recycling and recovery of the grinding fluid, they form the mechanical structure of the intensified grinding machine.(2)Hardware design of injection system. In order to realize the NC machining, the machining parameters and injection trajectory of the intensified grinding system are designed. The core component is a H6 HUST controller, which drives the servo motor to drive the three axis lead screw by setting the suitable MCM mechanical parameters, and the injection speed and the spraying distance of the nozzle are controlled; The AD/DA interface of the controller is connected with the electric proportional valve, and the injection pressure of the nozzle is controlled by adjusting the analog voltage; The A shaft of the controller is connected with a stepping motor driver, and the stepping motor drives the stepping motor to realize the turning function of the working table.(3)Software design of injection system. By editing the controller LCD screen, the design of man-machine interface program to achieve real-time monitoring and adjustment of processing parameters; Edit PLC program according to the logical relationship between the HUST controller and the mechanical equipment interface; According to the mold surface treatment requirements to design the final processing CNC program.
