Poly(ethylene terephthalate)(PET)fiber has excellent physical,chemical and mechanical properties,and its textiles is popular with consumers since the industrialization.However,the expansion of application scope is restricted because of polyester fiber's disadvantage,mainly the low moisture regain,short of permeability,easy accumulation of electrostatic charge.Therefore,It is become important research direction in the field of improvement the hydrophilic,permeability,antistatic etc.In this paper,in order to improve the hydrophilicity and antistatic property of polyester fiber,two methods of copolymerization and melting blend were used.PET-PA6-PEG copolyester was prepared by copolymerization,which changed the regularity of the macromolecule chain and increased its flexibility.On the other hand,the hydrophilic and antistatic masterbatch was prepared by blending the nano-sized habsorbent sodium polyacrylate particles with conventional polyester chips.Polyamide-6(PA6)and poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG)were chosen as the copolymerization components,which were added to the copolyester with the proper reaction.The copolyester with different PEG number average molecular weight was characterized.Their chemical structures were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance(1HNMR)and fourier transform infrared spectrometry(FT-IR);The thermal and crystalline properties of the copolyester samples were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis(TG),differerntial scanning calorimetry(DSC)and X-ray diffraction(XRD).By means of contact angle and water absorption measurements,the hydrophilicity of copolyester was studied in detail.The rheological properties of copolyester were studied by capillary rheometer.The results showed that the instrinsic viscosity of copolyester was moderate and the product synthesized by PA6,PEG and PET was block copolymers.Thermal stability of the copolyester became worse than the conventional polyester,but the Td was above on the melting point,which didn't affect the melting spinning.The glass-transition temperature(Tg)and the melting temperature(Tm)all decreased gradually.And these parameters increased gradually with the up of the molecular weight of PEG.The crystallinity of copolyester sample decreased gradually compared to conventional polyester.The crystallinity of the samples increased gradually with the increase of molecular weight of PEG,but didn't affect the crystalline form of the polyester.The water contact angle of copolyester was much smaller than conventional polyester and the water absorption rate arrived 5.0%,indicating that the hydrophilicity of samples was enhanced.The rheological curves showed that the copolyester melt was the typical pseudo plastic non-Newtonian fluid.The hydrophilic antistatic copolyester fibers were prepare by meliting spinning.The mechanical properties,moisture regain and volume resistivity of the fibers were studied.When the number molecular weight was 6000 of PEG,the volume ratio of resistance arrived 8.3 × 10?·cm,moisture regain reached 1.05%.The blend masterbatch was prepared by blending the nano-sized super absorbent sodium polyacrylate particles with conventional polyester,and its thermal properties,melt crystallization,hydrophilicity and rheological properties were researched.On the basis of this,6%proportion of masterbatch was selected to mix with conventional polyester to spin staple fiber by melt spinning method.The results showed that the fiber with excellent mechanical properties was obtained via adding 40‰ sodium polyacrylate,and its moisture absorption reached 2.09%and the volume resistivity arrived 2.3 × 109? · cm.
