With exhaustion of the barite ore resources in our country,comprehensive recovery and utilization barite is important to relieve contradiction between supply and demand of barite and to promote the development of our economic.The mineral separation of barite and dolomite is quite difficult because they have similar mineral floatability.In order to solve this problem,the flotation behaviors difference of barite and dolomite have been studied systematically,which is through the ways of single mineral flotation test,the reagents mechanism test,and conclusions of experiment guide actual lead-zinc tailings comprehensive recycling barite.The results of single mineral flotation test show that sodium dodecyl sulfonate has good collecting effect on two kinds of minerals with sodium dodecyl sulfonate as collector.T11 not only had obvious selective inhibition effect on the two kinds of minerals,but also relatively using H2SO4 and sodium silicate alone,the dosage of the T11 is smaller.The pb2+ has activation effect for the sodium dodecyl sulfonate flotation barite,within the definite range of reagent dosage.The results of lead-zinc tailings flotation test show that first through a rough,two scavenging aside from sulfur tailings,and adopt T11 as inhibitors,sodium dodecyl sulfonate as collector by a rough,two scavenging got the barite rough concentrate.Then rough concentrate were selected still adopt T11 as inhibitors,got qualified barite concentrate which BaS04 grade 91.27%and recovery 70.25%by and five cleaning,a cleaning scavenging,and effectively realize zinc-tailings comprehensive recycling barite.The mechanism of the sodium dodecyl sulfonate test show that barite mineral surface Ba2+ and C12H25OSO3-cause strong chemical adsorption,and in the mineral surface might generate relatively stable Ba(C12H2SOSO3)2,which its hydroxyl outwards into medium mineral for the mineral hydrophobic and rise the surface.Sodium dodecyl sulfonate make barite surface zeta potential decreased significantly greater than dolomite declines,and cause the adsorption density and adsorption quantity in the barite surface higher than in the dolomite surface,so compared with dolomite,sodium dodecyl sulfonate has better collecting effect on barite mineral.The mechanism of the T11 is that dolomite mineral cause strong chemical adsorption with making mineral hydrophilic,and control dolomite mineral surface and sodium dodecyl sulfonate adsorption by competitive adsorption.The T11 can make the barite and dolomite potential difference become bigger,and can dramatically reduce the contact angles of dolomite and led to dolomite show asthe strong hydrophilicity.But the T11 impact on barite contact angle smaller,mineral flotability basically remain unchanged,this is the main cause that the T11 can flotation separation of barite and dolomite.
