Due to its comfort,safety and punctuality,rail transit is highly praised by passengers.However,it is limited by the high cost of construction in the construction process and can't provide door-to-door service.As an extension of rail transit,feeder bus can provide passengers with the service of more flexibility and wider coverage.At the same time,the feeder bus network design problem which is the most important component of feeder bus system has been paid more and more attention.At present,the research perspective on the feeder bus network design problem is mainly based on the internal factors of feeder bus system,and analyzing the internal elements of the system and the relationship between the internal elements.There is a lack of research on the coordination between bus and rail transit.The coordination between feeder bus and rail transit can not only improve the efficiency of rail transit-feeder bus system and the service level of the system,but also improve the integration of rail transit-feeder bus system in order to reduce the cost of travel time of passenger.Focusing on the feeder bus network design problem,firstly,the paper set up the model whose optimization objective that is sum of passengers' travel cost and the cost of operators is minimum and whose constraint conditions is route length,route capacity and the integration of frequency between rail transit and feeder bus.Secondly,the mathematical model of Lingo is used to validate the model through the design example,which proves the accuracy and effectiveness of the model.Thirdly,the sensitivity of the parameters is analyzed in the model,whose results show:First,the total cost of the system will increase,but the cost of passengers' travel time will reduce under coordination.Second,when the total cost of the system increases,the unit bus operating costs,passengers' cost in the feeder bus,passengers' waiting time cost,passenger flow volume and passengers' cost in the rail transit will increase linearly,the speed of the feeder bus,operating frequency of rail transit and the number of rail transit station will reduce.Finally,Genetic Algorithm is used to solve the design example.By comparing the accuracy,the computational efficiency and the size to adapt example between the two algorithms,we find that Genetic Algorithm has more advantages in solving the model.The coordination operation between the feeder bus and rail transit,on the one hand,can make the feeder bus attract more passengers to take public transportation,which reduce the trips of the car and protect the environment;On the other hand,it has a role to the development of public transport and can form a virtuous cycle with development of the public transportation:finally,it also can promote the development of public transport integration and improve the competitiveness and attractive of the bus.
