In today's urban planning field, with the continuous development of computer software and hardware, computer graphic technology, visual visualization technology and geographic information system(GIS)technology,3D spatial visualization technology is increasingly attracting the planning and construction departments. In recent years, the introduction and implementation of new concepts such as "Digital Earth" and "Digital City" have led to the fact that the current planning and approval technology based on the 2D plane can no longer meet the needs of rapid urban planning approval. To this end, major scientific research institutions and technology companies to explore CityMaker platform software, through the integrated and effective use of 3D model building technology and GIS technology to build urban planning spatial database, the competitive momentum has become more and more intense, developed a Simple and constructive software and construction programs have succeeded in seizing the first place in the development of the information society. In this paper,CityMaker platform software to establish a government version of the three-dimensional urban auxiliary planning approval system,to some extent make up for the planning and construction department is only limited to the traditional urban planning approval based on some deficiencies. The integration of 3D models with the work of georeferenced databases has great promise for large-scale spatial research. In the past, the separation of work between georeferenced and 3D model databases was difficult to assemble and the demand for reliable and fast 3D data was increasing. So far,the rapid growth of 3DGIS technology and synthesis modules,plug-ins and software seems to outstrip the content of the curriculums in academic settings. This paper aims to describe the integration of geographic information technology with 3D modeling software to develop a 3DGIS government audit platform database that includes the reconstruction of buildings, topography and other features associated with the urban model.Techniques for creating 3D GIS city models have been provided by the GIS environment and are aided by high-resolution satellite imagery using digital photogrammetry and 3D modeling software.Reliable data using digital photogrammetry and image analysis programs, using high-resolution satellite imagery, and data extraction continue to develop GIS databases.CityMaker6,which was jointly developed by the Institute of Urban Planning and Design,Tsinghua University and Beijing Wei Jingxing Digital City Science and Technology Co.,Ltd.,was selected for reconstruction for the simple reason that it is easy to distribute.Compared to other modeling software,CityMaker6's short learning curve and simple user interface provide a direct vehicle for 3D modeling. The simple transition between two-dimensional surfaces and three-dimensional stretching allows users to efficiently convert source data to three-dimensional data.Users can quickly develop georeferenced 3D models. The results show that the integrated technology developed by 3DGIS database is reliable and fast.A big challenge for future work is to study a new development approach to 3D generalization of space objects that will be used to improve the efficiency of 3D map visualization.
