Researches on chemical control agents for regulating the yields and quality of crops are very common, and the effects of chemical control agents to promote the yields and quality of crops are obvious, but researches about the effects of them to regulate the growth of medical plants and then affect the yields and quality of Chinese herbal medicine are relatively scattered. In hence, it's extremely necessary to do systematic study on the effects of chemical control agents to the growth of medical plants and the different manurial effect to Chinese herbal medicine between the chemical control agents and fertilizers, so as to provide certain foundation in the process of planting Chinese herbal medicine with chemical control agents. This experiment was mainly to study the Isatis indigotica Fort. andGLycyrrhiza uraLensis Fisch. through seedling basin culture, vermiculite potted culture and field culture with different concentration and various kinds of chemical control agents and fertilizers treating, in order to observe effects of the S3307, RE and BR on growth and the content of active constituents of woad and liquorice, and the fertilizer's effect of three kinds of fertilizers on woad, liquorice, so as to explain the role of chemical control agents in the process of Chinese herbal medicine planting from two aspects that the growth and physiology of medical plant and the formation of the yield and quality of Chinese herbal medicine and the differences between the chemical control agents and the fertilizers in medicine plants' planting. The main results of this experiment was as follows:1.Certain concentration of S3307,RE and BR could promote the growth of woad and liquorice and the content of their active constituents. Spraying certain concentration of S3307,RE and BR on leaves could promote the growth of woad and liquorice, but it could not affect the content of foliar pigment of them. The fresh root of woad was the heaviest under the treatment of200mg/L S3307. The fresh root of liquorice under the treatment of50mg/L and200mg/L S33o7,5Omg/L,100mg/L and500mg/L RE and0.001mg/L,0.01mg/L and0.1mg/L BR were significantly heavier than the CK group, respectively.2. The effects of different using ways of medical control agents on woad and liquorice varied obviously. The better using way of different kinds of medical control agents to different kinds of medical plants varied too. The better using way of S3307,RE and BR to the growth of woad and the content of epigoitrin were foliar spray. And the better using way of these three kinds of medical control agents to the accumulation of the yield of liquorice were wetting root, but each had their advantages and disadvantagesto the active constituents of liquorice. Wetting root of RE and S3307were better than foliar spray to the accumulation of liquiritin; while foliar spray of RE were better than wetting root to the accumulation of glycyrrhizic acid; foliar spray were better for BR to the accumulation of glycyrrhizic acid andliquiritin.3. Certain content of RE and BR could work in conjunction with nutrient elements to promoted the yield of liquorice and the content of active constituents. Formula number VI and number ? which contained RE and BR respectively played auxo-action to the growth of woad and liquorice and the content of active constituents, compare with the treatment of fertilizer named Tong Feng, the effect of formula made by myself on the growth of woad and liquorice and the accumulation of content of active constituents were more obvious.4. Tong Feng could obviously promote the root growth of woad and salvia miltiorrhiza and the accumulation of catalpol in radix of rehmannia and sodium Danshensu in radix of salvia miltiorrhiza, the effect of800times diluted liquid of Tong Feng were better than600times diluted liquid of it to the growth of woad. Xiao Pang Dun could obviously promote the root growth of liquorice, rehmannia and salvia miltiorrhiza and the accumulation of the glycyrrhizic acid and liquiritin, and the effect of Xiao Pang Dun ? were better than Xiao Pang Dun I Zhuang Gen Ling could promote the root growth of rehmannia in some extent, and it also could obviously promote the accumulation of sodium Danshensu in radix of salvia miltiorrhiza.
