Purpose: To explore the significance of echo-tracking technique of HF Doppler Ultrasound System on the diagnosis of early hypertension vascular complication. The study proceeds from two aspects, of which, on one hand, the echo-tracking technique was employed to detect the elastic function of carotid artery of patients with hypertension; and on the other hand, all hemodynamic parameters of central retinal artery of patients with hypertensive retinopathy were detected to analyze the relationship between central retinal artery and carotid artery with respect to functional expression, thereby discussing the close links between echo-tracking technique and diagnosis of vascular disease of hypertension. The data derived from the detections was performed for statistics and statistical software was used to analyze the association of data, and thus got the link between echo-tracking technique and vascular disease of hypertension.Materials and methods: In this experiment, 90 cases of patients with primary hypertension visited in our hospital were enrolled, and 30 cases of healthy volunteers were also selected. ALOKA α-10 HF Color Doppler Ultrasound System was used as the detecting instrument. Before detecting all parameters of carotid artery, the experimental objects were asked to lie on their backs on the bed and keep neck straight to allow the adequate exposure of examination site. ALOKA α-10 HF Color Doppler Ultrasound System was started at this time by getting the systolic internal diameter(Ds), intima-media thickness(IMT), peak systolic velocity(PSV) and resistance index(RI) of common carotid artery along the long axis view of common carotid artery. The system, after obtaining above parameters, carried out combinational calculation based upon the data derived and came the change value of vessel diameter, thus the parameters of carotid artery elasticity were determined, including pressure elastic coefficient(Ep), hardening parameter(β), compliance(AC), one-point pulse wave velocity(PWVβ) and augmentation index(AI), Carotid artery differences between patients and healthy subjects were compared by using those vascular elasticity parameters.while hemodynamic parameters of central retinal artery of each experimental object was detected, and the blood flow velocity changes of central retinal artery during contraction/relaxation period were worked out, and finally the blood flow resistance value was calculated. Statistical analysis: SPSS17.0 was used to perform the statistical analysis and plotting. And t-test was performed to analyze the measurement data, while chi-square was used to detect the enumeration data obtained from the experiment. The two sets of data were compared with t-test, and there’s statistically significant difference if P<0.05.Results: 1. Comparison between the Hypertension Group and Healthy Group showed that there was no statistically significant difference in terms of Ds, PSV and RI; IMTs of carotid artery in patients of the four groups were compared, for which, the IMT difference between Hypertension Group A and Healthy Group was not statistically significant, while the IMT differences between Hypertension Group B, C and Healthy Group was statistically significant as P<0.05. 2. With respect to Vs and Vd, the Hypertension Group A was obviously lower than control group, presenting the statistically significant difference(P<0.05), while its RI was remarkably higher than control group(P<0.05). The differences of above parameters among Hypertension Group A, B and C were statistically significant(P<0.05). 3. The Ep, β, PWVβ and AI of Hypertension Group A were all higher than control group, while its AC was lower than the control group, showing the statistically significant difference(P<0.05). The differences among Hypertension Group A, B and C regarding Ep, β, PWVβ and AC were statistically significant(P<0.05), yet there’s no statistically significant difference among the hypertension groups for AI. 4. As shown by the data analysis, the PWVβ, Ep, β and AI in the carotid artery elasticity parameters were correlated negatively with the blood flow parameters Vs, Vd of central retinal artery, but was positively associated with RI; there was positive correlation between the AC in carotid artery elasticity parameters and the blood flow parameters Vs, Vd in central retinal artery, but showing negative correlation with RI.Conclusion: The vascular disease of patients with primary hypertension is a process of chronic evolution, and there will be a series of changes in vascular parameters before vascular sclerosis. The carotid artery elasticity of hypertension patients is strongly correlated with their retinal arterial diseases, as well as with their hemodynamic parameters of central retinal artery. The use of HF Doppler Ultrasound System in detecting the carotid artery elasticity of patients with primary hypertension may offer guidance for the diagnosis of retinal diseases of hypertension patients.
