Objective:Discussion on Hegu electroacupuncture on facial nerve injury in rabbit facial behavior science, facial nerve conduction function and facial nerve nucleus motor neuron ultrastructure influence. Preliminary study on Heguin the repair of facial nerve regeneration and for the clinical application of acupoint Hegu recovery of facial nerve function provide certain experimental basis.Methods: the nerve was prepared by pressing facial nerve injury in rabbit model, 40 rabbits were divided for four groups: sham operation group, model group, Hegu electroacupuncture group and Houxi electroacupuncture group. The sham operation group was cut open on the left side of the facial skin, and the facial nerve was exposed. Model group does not give any disposal.Hegu electroacupuncture group treated with Hegu with electroacupuncture and Houxi electroacupuncture group treated with Houxi with electroacupuncture, 30 minutes each time, 1 times a day for 28 days. Visual observation of the facial movements of rabbits then score,and Enog detecting damaged facial nerve compound muscle action potential(CMAP) of the incubation period and amplitude. and transmission electron microscope was used to observe ultrastructure of neurons of nucleus of facial nerve movement.Results: 1. the results of the behavioral score:the behavior scores of electroacupuncture Hegu group increased significantly at 7, 14, 21 and 28 days after completion of modeling, compared with the model group and electroacupuncture Houxi group compared, the difference was significant(P < 0.05, P < 0.01); 2.The result of electroneurography(Enog):the incubation period was shortened, the peak amplitude increased significantly of electroacupuncture Hegu group at 14, 28 days after completion of modeling, compared with the model group and electroacupuncture Houxi group compared, the difference was significant(P < 0.05, P < 0.01); 3. Analyze the result of ultrastructure of neurons of nucleus of facial nerve movement: After electron microscope, sham operation group: the cell is abundant, the structure is more complete at 14,28 days after completion of modeling. Model group: Cell edema, cell chromatin margination, mitochondrial swelling, rough endoplasmic reticulum breaking off the surface of the ribosome. The nuclear membrane boundary serious degeneration is not clear,mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi complex dissolved at 14 days after completion of modeling. And cell edema decreased, few organelles, Golgi complex dilatation at 28 days after completion of modeling. Electroacupuncture Hegu group:Cell dropsy is obvious, cell chromatin a little edge set, fewer organelles, swollen mitochondria, rough endoplasmic reticulum fracture, Golgi complex slightly dilated at 14 days after completion of modeling. And cells with mild edema, abundant organelles, mild swelling of mitochondria, rough endoplasmic reticulum dilation at 28 days after completion of modeling. Electroacupuncture Houxi group: cellular edema, cell staining tuffaceous integrated block is located in the nuclear membrane, decrease of organelles, swollen mitochondria, rough endoplasmic reticulum fracture at 14 days after completion of modeling. And the cell edema was reduced, and the change of the Golgi complex was more than that of the former at 28 days after completion of modeling.Conclusion:1. Electroacupuncture at Hegu can improve the manifestations of facial behavior of facial nerve injury in rabbit;2. Electroacupuncture at Hegu can promote the incubation period and the peak amplitude of the facial compound muscle action potential recovery of the facial nerve injury in rabbit;3. Electroacupuncture at Hegu can promote the facial nerve motor nucleus neurons cell morphology returned to normal, to speed up the process for the repair of facial nerve injury.
