Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Ulcerative Colitis With Intestinal Damp-heat Syndrome By Qufeng Ningkui Decoction

Objective:Observe the clinical curative effect of composition of wind expelling and ulcer eliminating in the treatment of active ulcerative colitis of large intestine dampness-heatsyndrome,and explore new Chinese medicine methods for the treatment of UC.Methods:By a randomized controlled trial method,60 cases of patients with active ulcerative colitis of large intestine dampness-heatsyndromewere randomly divided into treatment group and control group,30 cases in each group.The treatment group was provide with composition of wind expelling and ulcer eliminating(Schizonepeta,Radix Sileris,Pulsatilla,Purslane,Patrinia,Rhizoma Atractylodis,Radix Paeoniae Alba,Radix Liquiritiae),while the control group was provide with Mesalazine(4g/day).Each group was treated for 4 weeks.After treatment,the differences between two groups in the main clinical symptoms(abdominal pain,diarrhea and bloody purulent stool),endoscopic scores,TCM syndrome scores and disease activity index were observe,to evaluate the clinical curative effect of composition of wind expelling and ulcer eliminating in the treatment of active ulcerative colitis of large intestine dampness-heatsyndrome.Results:(1)Analysis on the scores of main clinical symptoms:Scores of symptoms of diarrhea,abdominal pain and bloody purulent stool after treatment were significantly different compared with before treatment(P<0.05).The symptoms of two groups of diarrhoea,abdominal pain,and mucus were improved before treatment.The curative effect of diarr and heabloody purulent stool on the treatment group was better than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The curative effect of abdominal pain has no significant differences between two groups(P>0.05).(2)Analysis on TCM syndrome scores:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 90.00%,clinical cure in 2 cases,markedly effective in 16 cases,effective in 9 cases and ineffective in 3 cases.The total effective rate of the control group was 85.19%,clinical cure in 1 cases,markedly effective in 6 cases,effective in 16 cases and ineffective in 4 cases.There was significant difference in the total effective rate between two groups.The treatment group was superior to the control group.(3)Analysis on the disease activity index:There was significant difference before and after treatment between two groups(P<0.05).The disease activity index in both groups was improved after treatment.The curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)Analysis on the endoscopic score:There were both significant decline of the endoscopic score in two groups(P<0.05).There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:Composition of wind expelling and ulcer eliminatingand Mesalazineboth have remarkable curative effect in treatment of ulcerative colitis oflarge intestine dampness-heatsyndrome.They has similar effect in relieve abdominal pain.But composition of wind expelling and ulcer eliminating does better than Mesalazine in diarrhea,bloody purulent stool,endoscopic scores,TCM syndrome scores and disease activity index.
