Li Kaimin Yang Opera Art Life

Music culture in Yangzhou area plays an important role in people's life. Its representatives include folk music, folk art forms, traditional drama and musical instruments. Yangzhou Opera is the major representative of Yangzhou culture. It is valuable in Chinese local opera history in terms of historical cultural cognition and academic research. For quite some time, by combining the dialect with opera language, different vocal genres with local features have been created by many artists. The old generation of artists made great efforts during the national and local inheriting and protecting of intangible cultural heritage.The research object of this paper is Li Kaiming, the artist of Yangzhou Opera and National Successor of Yangzhou Opera in Yangzhou area. Li learned from Gao Xiuying, the winner of the Second Golden Disk Awards. Li formed her special singing style in her fifty years of performance, which is named as Li style. Based on detailed materials and documents collected by the writer, this paper takes the interview as the main research method. The writer interviewed Li for many times, which helped him to get the direct and true oral information. By researching Li's art life, this paper also explores the view and method of the protection and inheritance of Chinese local drama.
