The traditional dance “Dengwoluo”which originated from Achang and prevailed in Lianghe is one of the main mediums carrying the ethnic culture, embodying the rich history, religious beliefs and customs, reflecting the nation's aesthetic idea. In the early 80 s, the lianghe Achang named one day as the “Woluo's Day”. And then in the early 90 s, the local government combined Lianghe's “Woluo's Day” and Longchuan's “Alu's Day” as a new festival-“Aluwoluo's Day”. The productions of “Woluo's Day and “Alu's Day” not only brought more spaces for the inheritance and the spread of national dances, but also changed the dances in terms of their forms, methods and music to some extents. Based on the “Traditional Invention Theory” raised by the British anthropologist Eric Hobsbawm, using the study methods of dance ecology, this article mainly explores the changes of the dance “dengwoluo” with the process of inventing and combining Achang's traditional festivals. To reveal the innovation's impact and significance of "traditional festival" on folk dance, following the timeline of how the festival was invented and integrated, this paper explores the transitions of the dance “Dengluowo” as the demands of festivals changed longitudinally, cogitates and analyses the configurations and characters of dance movements, and further more consideres retrospectively the development problem of Dengluowo of Achang ethnic in Langhe County.
