Nowadays, there have been already a large quantity of treatises related to researches on noumenon of Bei-sentences. Nevertheless, studies on pragmatic function of Bei-sentences in the field of Teaching C hinese As Foreign Language are extremely scanty. In consequence, I made up my mind to elect the subject. Referring to the relevant literature and monographs,HSK dynamic Composition Corpus as well as foreign Chinese senior intensive textbook Development Chinese——senior, I studied and analyzed the method to teach pragmatic function of Bei-sentences, and further put forward my own suggestions.During the research, I applied several ways, including Contrastive Analysis, Induction And Deduction Method and Task-based Approach.The text is divided into five parts to expound, which are introduction, background and significance of the subject, ideas and methods of study,corpus sources and the summary. In Chapter O ne, it explains the pragmatic function of Bei-sentences in different context, including the basic functions of expressing the meaning of misfortune,neuter or cheer. The C hapter Two mainly elaborates the selection of Bei-sentences' pragmatic function, in which the function of concatenating the topics,the function of emphas izing the patient,the function of stating the reasons are included.Inaddition,there is a simple presentation about the study on elliptical Bei-construction and its pragmatic function in the chapter. In C hapter Three, I make instructional design for pragmatic function in four parts connected with theories of pragmatics proposed by Suo Zhenyu, and come up with related teaching strategies. In the Last Chapter, four recommendations of compiling textbooksin allusion to Development Chinese——senior are involved to contribute for consummating the textbook compilation.
