The Study Of The Vocabulary Of The Imperial Examination And The First In The Tang And Song Dynastie

In the history of China,imperial examination system had flourished in the Tang-Song dynasties.The field of literature has emerged a large number of imperial examination-related literatures,which have brought a wealth of data for the study of Chinese vocabulary history.In many complex literary works of the imperial examination,novels and poems of Tang and Song is the most representative.Novel is the best carrier of the Tang and Song language,and it is very comprehensive basing on this collection of imperial examination.Poetry is seen as the important part of the linguistic features of the Tang and Song Dynasties.Poets tended to express their feelings in the imperial examination career through poetry.Therefore,this paper explains and describes these vocabularies based on these two data sources.The imperial examination vocabulary can be roughly divided into two parts:One is the old words which generated new meanings.The other is the new words which appeared for the first time in Tang and Song Dynasties.This paper collects more than 100 entries from the Tang and Song novels and poems.We classify them into several kinds on the basis of word-forming morpheme and explain them.On the one hand,we collect these vocabularies simply.On the other hand,we explore the meaning of the unfamiliar words minutely.This paper analyses the structure of the words,so that we can make a conclusion of the language characteristics of Tang and Song.In addition,we collect some allusions related to the imperial examination and explain the origin of them.Finally,we also describe some lines related to the imperial examination.This paper contains five parts:The first part is introduction.It introduces the general research situation of Tang and Song dynasty imperial examination.And on this basis,we put forward the research content,significance and methods of this paper.The second part is the word-formation research.It divides the word into two parts: monosyllabic words and polysyllabic words.The monosyllabic words include Zhong,Ju and so on.The polysyllabic words include some compound words constituted by "gui","di","long","ming","bang" and other formation morpheme.In addition,this part also explains some polysyllabic words and some gentle vocabularies.The third part is allusions related to the imperial examination.This article will single out these words and dig the origin of these words,which will help us understand the development of word meanings.The fourth part is the expression of passed imperial examination in the imperial poetry.In this paper,we regard the Quan Tangshi and the Quan Songshi as the main language.At the same time,we collect a few kinds of distinctive case and analyze them according the context.The last part is conclusion.This part makes the conclusion of the whole paper and sum up the characteristics of these Passed the Imperial Examination semantic field.
