The expression of approximate quantity owns a very important place in oral Chinese.which has a high rate of use in daily life. Based on Chinese teaching for foreigners, we study on the expression of approximate quantity and related language acquisition.The paper mainly consists of three parts.Firstly, by studying the statistics of the expression of approximate quantity in related books, such as the Outline of the Graded Vocabulary for HSK. and the syllabus for Chinese teaching, we find that data entry about the expression of approximate quantity is far from curriculum requirements and the Language point setting is oversimplified. Secondly, we can classify the same part of the expression of approximate quantity in the new and old outlines into four styles:approximate quantity expressed by approximate quantity words, by limiting and referring approximate quantity words followed by numerals, by estimating words followed by numerals, by closed two numbers, which are described from syntactic and semantic. Thirdly, based on HSK dynamic composition corpus to research the language acquisition of foreign students on the four styles and summarize the styles of errors which come from negative transfer of mother tongue, negative transfer of the target language knowledge and the influence of the learning environment and then giving six suggestions for textbook compilation and teaching about the expression of approximate quantity.
