The 1920s-30s are the times that China's economy suffered internal disturbance and foreign aggression:the traditional small-scale peasant economy has not disintegrated completely, and the capitalist industry and commerce, especially in Zhejiang, China abundant in products, was at stake in the world economic crisis. The rising Zhejiang writers presented vividly such intense social pains in their novels. Whether it is the writings of individual daily life or the analyses of social classes, the economy has been involved in portraying characters, deepening themes and rationalizing plots, which thematologically and narratologically established the significance of writings on economy of Zhejiang writers at that time. The first chapter summarizes the social and cultural contexts the writings on economy depend on, analyzes the causality of the unique regional and economic factors, writer's experience to the economic elements presented in the novels. By selecting the most visualized economic materials and four most representative kinds of "economic man", this paper expounds the existence of discourse on economy in the specific novels. The second part mainly attaches weight to the impact economy put on the novel themes, which elaborates the elimination and reconstruction the economy creates to the May 4th Movement Enlightenment, the relationship existed in the rural economic bankruptcy and the farmer's "revolution", and the modern urban areas derived from consumption and production. Finally, the paper verifies the Chinese literature modernization and the inspiration the economy offers to it, through the insights of the economic and hierarchical nature of people in great times. The third respect analyzes the influence of writings on economy to the narration. The extension of narrative space is made through the illusory money psychology and the net interactive structures. The refinement of novel language is presented by means of digital expressions, economic terms and details. And the rationality and modernity of stories on economy are verified from the perspective of aesthetic appreciation. The last chapter reflects the uniqueness and historical limitations in the writings on economy of Zhejiang writers, through the comparison with the ones from the South of the Five Ridges, Hunan and others. Although the Zhejiang writers devote from a multi-dimension view, to the analyses of the epoch connotation in the economic discourse, such writings will not inevitably be free of the rivalry and conflict produced by the "instrumental rationality" and "value rationality". The themes on economy didn't embark on the road of politics, resuming to bloom glory, until 1980s, when the nation started the integration after the 40s.
