Research On The Perspective Of The Popular Film Magazine (1957-1959)

This essay is to study the overall visual form of the Popular Movies, one of the most renowned film magazine, by specifically analyzing the visual form of studied object that the issued Popular Movies from 1957 to 1959 were selected. The Popular Movie was one of the first film magazines initialized since the establishment of P.R.C. that it was aiming to serve the immense common people involving workers, famers and soldiers as well as to prompt the socialistic films as a platform. The Popular Movies as an influential film magazine has been taken the responsibility to produce the films to common people and prompt the filming art so that the socialistic sensation was enhanced. Meanwhile, the Popular Movies which had included the important events including the politics, culture, economy and diplomacy after the P.R.C established was a comprehensive magazine representing a strong characteristic of era and culture, featured as films.The visual form in this essay is the form which is grasped by the eyes, a sensational organ.
