To take a wide view of the status of visual communication design in China, we do not find it satisfactory in advertising design, book design, and package design, etc. Most designing works are conventional or lacking originality and far inferior to the design level of the Euro-American countries. Why is it like that? What is the decisive cause of the state? Personally, the reason which leads to the serious backwardness lies in design talents. The backwardness of design talents attribute to one of design education. This kind of design education easily results in a one-track mind of designers in China. Facing this kind of designing situation, our designers are becoming increasingly worried about exploiting the ability of design thinking and originality.Design thinking and originality training is a kind of the course design and system to research, develop and effectively train human thinking mode. Compared with Chinese traditional thinking mode, it lays weight on bringing up a new, dimensional and multidimensional thinking mode of designers. Through inspiring designers'imagination, it may arouse ones'originality, abandoning anonymous designing phenomenon in Chinese design circle. While bringing up our designers'new thinking mode, we should think about some potential difficulties in the designing process, especially accurately grasping elements of visual form. It easily leads to lack of the ability of expressing the design intention exactly in the designing process if designers could not gasp visual form exactly or they ignore the combination of visual form and creative thinking.Visual form is an important part of modern design art and has distinct characteristics and configuration features. The essay will carry on an analysis through combining phasic training and research of design thinking and originality, aiming at personalities of elements of visual form in visual perception.
