Lettered words study is one of the heat points of the vocabulary study in recent years.China and Japan are two countries of Chinese cultural circle and the lettered words to two countries which are belonging to Chinese cultural circle have certain comparability.Based on lexicology theory and lexicography theory,the paper uses methods of measurement and statistics,literature research and comparative study to compare the IT lettered words in Chinese and Japanese dictionaries of two Chinese Japanese Dictionary,Dictionary of Practical Lettered words which is published by commercial press and edited by Houmin and The Modern People in the Form of Erwin Institute of Nano Language Acronym Dictionary which is published by Ultra Jump and edited by imidas editing department.Conclude the similarity and difference of layout aspect in two Chinese Japanese dictionaries and study the structural form and the characteristic of IT lettered words in the dictionaries.Conclude the common characteristics and personality difference of these two dictionaries and explore the common regulation and personal character of Chinese cultural circle absorbing lettered words.These are references to regulate the usage of lettered words and dictionary of lettered words as well as the Japanese vocabulary teaching.The paper is four chapters except for introduction and conclusion.The research background and research status,research aim and significance,profile of dictionary and corpus selection are mainly discussed in introduction.Chapter one is to compare the two compilations of dictionaries.The paper has compare of compilations of two dictionaries from the scope of the word,the arrangement style,phonetic notation style,interpretation style,interpretation of phonetic sources through the study of the entire book.Chapter two is the compare of IT lettered words structure of two dictionaries.The paper cards the IT lettered words of Dictionary of Practical Lettered words of Hou Min and there are 1484 IT lettered words concluded.Divided from the character of forms,there are total 5 types and 13 titles.The paper cards the IT lettered words with I in the explanation in the dictionary of Imidas and there are 2228 IT lettered words concluded.Divided from the character of forms,there are total 6 types and 31 titles.There is the compare of IT lettered words structure of two dictionaries in IT lettered words based on carding and classification.Chapter three compares the IT lettered words of two dictionaries.Through the exhaustive carding of 1484 IT lettered words of Hou version and 2228 IT lettered words of Imidas version,there are 368 isomorphic words,including 185 with thetotally same expression sense and 50 with totally different expression sense as well as133 with partially same expression sense.There is analysis of the number of expression sense in each of title and whether the original word tagging is equivalent or not.Make use of the theory of expansion and limitation of register to compare and analyze the meaning of IT word letters with the same expression sense.Chapter four suggests the pros-and-cons of two dictionaries in style and interpretation such aspects and the revised suggestions that compilation style should be focused;presenting original words should be uniformed and the isomorphic words and polysemy should be emphasized.Conclusion mainly cards the thinking of two dictionaries from three aspects: the dictionary compilation,comparison of the form features of IT type lettered words and comparative study on the definition of the common IT lettered words.Meanwhile,the main innovation of the paper is pointed out: the study attribute is new and the suggestion of the opinion that there are five form features of Japanese lettered words.
