Selection Of Lettered Words And Its TCFL

With the rapid development of society,economy and the increasing foreign exchange, lettered words gradually infiltrate into the domain of politics, economics, culture and entertainment, affecting people's daily lives. Stepping into information age, lettered words have showed the characteristics of numerous and varied styles. Predecessors have done some theoretical resarches of lettered words from definitions, types pronunciations, norms and grammatical features. But as for teaching Chinese as a foreign language, researchers have just had a tame attempt to teach lettered words on the introduction, teaching principles and teaching methods. Yuan Xinmei suggested that it should be consider undertaking to compile the dictionary word frequency which it is based on to compile "Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language Graded Outline of Lettered Words" , and this is a long and arduous task.Right now, more and more foreigners come to China for doing business, learning culture and even living here. There is no doubt that they have to communicate with the local,need to surf on the internet where lettered words are used usually. Lettered words have entered into real life, producing a great effect on dairly communication, so teaching lettered words is imperative in order to make them feel the realtiy and the fresh language. Under the theories and methods of social linguistics, this paper will conduct an investigation on the use of letter words in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center. While after get lettered words from Dictionary of Modern Chinese and internet, we will make a analysis of the understanding the proportion of them. Combined with previous research results, we will select the proper lettered words for teaching foreign students and give some advice on how to teach. However, due to various factors, selected lettered words exist several issues of locality caused by searching in Guangzhou, of being unscientific by narrow sourse of lettered words and the simple method of processing the data, of instability and irregularization by the development of lettered words.The selection of lettered words is just for future research in this field to provide a reference. It is expected to play the role of attracting valuable opinions.
