"Needs" has always been an important concept during the development of philosophy, which involves in our daily life, social development and moral system, etc."Needs" is a complex philosophy concept, which is hard to be defined from aspects of abstract morality and human nature. Many philosophers have made fragmental explanation about "needs",but few made specialized research on it.Agnes Heller is one of the leading scholars in Eastern Europe, having experienced the historical stage of drastic change in Eastern Europe, which makes her pay much attention to changing social reality. She proposed the theory of "radical needs" that firstly explained the relationship between philosophy and "needs" from the perspective of ethics. With the historical context changing and theoretical development,Heller gradually built her radical philosophy based on "radical needs".In the development of Heller's theory, base on "radical needs",she discussed social issues such as democracy and poverty and then put forward her own opinion.Heller's"radical needs" theory is a tentative construction of Marx's ethics,it's also a moral reflection of social environment at that time. With the basis of moral ethics,Heller's "radical needs" finally have a relatively complete theoretical frame. This paper is divided into six chapters:The first chapter introduces the background and theoretical sources of Heller's "radical needs" theory. The second chapter mainly elaborated the development of "radical needs" conception. The third and the fourth chapter explains Heller's view of poverty and democracy base on "radical needs".The fifth chapter is analysis of the core of Heller's "radical needs" theory. The last chapter is comment of the author on Heller's "radical needs" theory after studying a large number of related literatures.Although Heller's moral system focusing on "needs" theory is controversial, her theory still has no doubt given hope and faith to people in the contemporary society!...
